MT-V5311 xDSL SOC

VDSL2/ADSL2+ PHY for CO and CPE

Overview

The MT-V5311 is Metanoia’s latest generation of VDSL2 product designed to meet the needs of both today’s FTTB (Fiber to the building) / FTTC (Fiber to the curb) applications and future FTTdp (Fiber to the distribution point) applications.

MT-V5311 supports all the VDSL2 profiles defined by ITU-T G.993.2 and additional features, such as G.inp (G.998.4) and G.vector (G.993.5). The chipset allows our customers to design a flexible system that can be seamlessly deployed in an environment with mixed deployments.

Metanoia’s MT-V5311 is a VDSL2 PHY chip especially suitable for Small Form-Factor Pluggable (SFP transceiver) design. This SFP design enables Service Providers to provide several types of access network services using the same CPE (Customer-Premises Equipment) Gateway. Leveraging Metanoia’s MT-V5311 within a SFP module leads to a competitive and cost-effective solution for Service Providers which not only ensures interoperability but also enables the possibility of an easy, low cost and seamless upgrade in future.

Reference Design

  • EBV-V5311BXVA – xDSL bridge board

The board provides fast and simple broadband access to the Internet and a shared connection for multi-users.  It allows accessing the Internet via xDSL and Ethernet technologies. xDSL support profiles are VDSL2 17A/ADSL2/ADSL2+ for xDSL board and VDSL2 30A for VDSL only board)

The board is equipped with a xDSL port to connect to a high-speed xDSL line, and 2 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet ports to connect additional devices that need to access the network.

DSLmonitor _Lite is the associated software application which users can use to check out and monitor xDSL data status. DSLmonitor_Lite supports USB and EVB access.
