5G Reference Design


The Metanoia 5G_RU_R2812_COM is a RU reference design associated with the MT2812 SoC.

It is the ideal test platform for both cutting-edge application development and out-of-the-box evaluation. This system includes a board (5G_RU_R2812_LD) and associated Hardware Development Kit (HDK) and Software Development Kit (SDK). This system accelerates time to market for OEMs and ODMs by leveraging reference design, software, and Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) interoperability.

In this configuration, four MT2812 are used to support 4T4R for bandwidth up to 100 MHz or 8T8R for bandwidth up to 50 MHz. This is a compact design achievable with a single board. 5G_RU_R2812_COM consists of the following components.

  • Two paths usable each at 100 MHz as well as any lower frequencies (e.g. 50 MHz)
  • One path can be used for 1T1R 100 MHz when connected to the 5G RU board

  • Digital Pre-Distortion (DPD) / Crest Factor Reduction (CFR) Training Loop support
